Birthday calendar
It often happens that we forget the birthdays of loved ones in the hustle and bustle of everyday life (unless a reminder from Facebook and co. rolls in).
This birthday calendar is a colorful offline alternative that puts more focus back on what really matters – family, friends, mutual appreciation and time*.
Each quarter has a calendar page with different color gradients that reflect the character of that month. The total of five sheets (incl. cover sheet) are held together by a clamp, which also acts as a hanger.
The calendar is available in two languages (German & English) – each copy is unique.
The printing process used to make the calendar pages is called risography. Risography is a semi-automatic printing system that uses various ink drums. This calendar was printed with the basic colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black on 170g Munken Lynx Rough paper. Each page must therefore pass through the printer four times and always be set up manually. This step makes each sheet unique, which is visible in different color application or overlaps.
* Time must also be taken for entering the birthdays: If you are careless, you risk smudging the gradient when erasing! Therefore, it’s better to ask again before entering a name incorrectly – yet another reason to check in with your loved ones again! 🙂
